Jackie Haxthausen
Jackie Haxthausen is a fine art photographer who focuses on light, composition, color, props, and post-processing with an emphasis on storytelling. Haxthausen studied art and photography and eventually focused on photography after an initial career in the medical field. Her work’s blend of art and science is evident, especially in the editing. When looking at her final products, characterized by the digital editing of the photographs, the viewer’s eye may often wonder if what it is looking at is a photograph or an illustration. She lives in Southern Louisiana with her husband and three children.
When I am not photographing clients, I love documenting my family's life.
With my children I get to experiment and push the limits of my creativity. This helps me to become better for my clients as well.
